Lynne Karoll James

Founder

Lynne founded LKJ Financial and loved planning and helping individuals build tailored strategies to achieve their retirement dreams. She began her career in the 1970’s focused on life insurance and estate planning, providing protection for individuals, families and business owners. From there, she broadened into financial planning, initially focusing on helping people who need to integrate government pensions like TRS into their retirement savings and income planning.

Lynne lived in Houston for over 45 years and had two grown daughters and a son. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and traveling – particularly to Acapulco where she lived for a number of years after working as an actress and commercial model in Mexico City.

After being in the financial business for nearly 50 years, Lynne took pride in the fact that she had many clients that worked with her for decades. Lynne lost her battle against lung cancer in early 2023, but her spirit and her legacy lives on through LKJ Financial and the work we do with our clients.

Kristina Kieng

Client Care

Kristina always has a smile on her face and takes a great deal of pride in taking excellent care of anyone who comes into contact with LKJ Financial. When you arrive at our office or call us on the phone, her main priority is to make you feel welcome, at home and comfortable.

Kristina is also instrumental in helping the office run on a day-to-day basis by assisting with incoming calls, scheduling meetings and managing advisor calendars, maintaining conference rooms and supplies, helping with mailings and other important behind-the-scenes tasks. Prior to joining LKJ, Kristina was a Pre-K teacher for 15 years. In her spare time, Kristina loves working on her small business where she personalizes everyday essentials and home décor. Her favorite season is fall and she loves to turn her house into Santa’s Workshop over the holidays. She is a fitness fanatic and if you don’t see her in the front of the office, she’s likely walking around trying to get her steps in for the day.
