Lindsey James-West, CFP®

Financial Planner & Wealth Advisor Managing Partner

Lindsey’s number one focus is helping people achieve financial peace of mind. She has built a reputation as a personally-engaged problem solver who provides exceptional, hands-on guidance. Working with other advisors, attorneys, tax professionals and caregivers, her approach is inclusive, transparent and education-based. In addition to working with her clients, Lindsey teaches retirement and tax planning courses at various Houston Community College campuses and partners with companies to bring financial education into the workplace.

Lindsey is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and has Series 7, Series 66 and Group 1 Life, Health and Variable Insurance licenses. She earned her B.S. from Northwestern University and completed the CFP® Certification Program through Rice University. Lindsey is a member of the Financial Planning Association (FPA) and Houston’s National Association of Insurance and Financial Advisors (NAIFA).

Although Lindsey is a long-time Houston resident, she enjoys traveling and has spent time living in Chicago, Spain and London. Lindsey loves yoga, running and exploring Houston’s neighborhoods on foot. She is a Sustaining Member of the Junior League of Houston and supports Casa de Esperanza, an organization that provides a safe place for children in crisis due to abuse, neglect or the effects of HIV. Lindsey lives in the Houston Heights with her husband and their three children.

Adam D. Goldman, CFP®, AIF®, MBA

Financial Planner & Wealth Advisor

Adam focuses on comprehensive retirement planning and investment management for retirees, professionals, business owners, educators and families. His goal is to simplify the investment world and help people preserve their hard-earned assets. He is dedicated to providing objective, educational and tailored advice to positively impact the lives of the people he works with.

The foundation of retirement planning and prudent use of financial tools plays a major role in the way in which Adam engages with his clients. His work extends beyond investments to include protection strategies like life, health, Medicare, disability and long-term care insurance. Adam has broad experience working with individuals who need to integrate employer pension systems like the Teachers Retirement System (TRS), the Optional Retirement Program (ORP) or the Federal Employees Retirement System (FERS) into their retirement plans.

Adam is a CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ and an Accredited Investment Fiduciary® (AIF®). He holds his FINRA Series 6, 7, 63, and 66 as well as a Texas General Lines Life, Accident, Health, and HMO license. He earned his BA from California State University and his MBA from Keimyung University. He completed his CFP® certification program through Rice University. He lives in Fort Bend County and enjoys quality time with his wife and son. He also an avid baseball fan and enjoys the low and slow Texas BBQ.

Amelia Weber

Operations & Client Service

Amelia brings over 20 years of experience to her role handling client inquiries and managing the many administrative and operational aspects of client accounts and transactions to make sure that our clients have the best experience possible when working with LKJ Financial. Building and maintaining client confidence is Amelia’s number one priority and she brings her bubbly personality and contagious laugh to her role at LKJ Financial.

Amelia holds her FINRA Series 6 and 63 licenses and her New York Life, Accident and Health Insurance License. She attended Houston Community College and studied Graphic Design and Visual Communications at Lone Star College. Amelia has lived in the Houston area most of her life aside from a four-year stint in New York. As much as she enjoyed experiencing four seasons out East, she moved back to Houston in 2020 and is here to stay.

When Amelia is not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her oldest daughter and grandchildren as well as curling up with her husband and her three younger daughters who are still at home. She enjoys a good movie and also loves to soak up the sun – with sunscreen of course! Amelia’s favorite hobby is photography, and she appreciates getting time to spend honing her craft.

Michelle Cooper

Client Service – Onboarding

Michelle is the primary point of contact during the establishment and funding of our clients’ new investment account(s). When a new client joins the LKJ family or an existing client opens a new account, Michelle works diligently behind the scenes with your advisor to ensure a seamless and attentive experience.

With over 20 years of experience in client relations and customer service, Michelle brings a wealth of knowledge to her role at LKJ Financial. Prior to joining LKJ, she worked in the special education department at a Klein ISD elementary school. Although she cherished her time at the school, Michelle was eager to expand her professional horizons and apply her practical skills in the financial industry.

Born and raised in Las Vegas, Michelle attended the University of Nevada, Las Vegas (UNLV), where she studied Criminal Justice. She moved to the Houston area over 20 years ago and now proudly considers herself a native Texan. Outside the office, you’ll likely find Michelle at a college baseball game cheering on her youngest son, as she is an avid fan. She also enjoys spending time with her three adult children, walking her dogs, cooking, and watching a good movie.

Sari Enriquez Clyde

Marketing & Events

Sari takes pride in client appreciation, bringing her event planning and creative experience to develop different ways to show clients how much we value them. Sari plays an integral role not only by taking care of LKJ Financial’s clients, but also helping extend the company’s services to prospective clients by planning educational workshops and events, generating promotions and marketing. She is passionate about helping the LKJ advisors provide people with the proper financial resources and education towards achieving financial peace of mind.

Sari was born and raised in Acapulco, Mexico and moved to Houston from Los Angeles in 2008 to be closer to her family and quickly felt like a Houstonian. She enjoys spending time outside with family as well as taking care of her two adorable dogs.

Sari loves animals and volunteers at the Houston Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals as well as the Wildlife Center and the Houston Food Bank. In addition, she has a passion for plants and loves gardening, sipping margaritas or a crisp Modelo Especial, listening to Latino pop, sparking up the barbecue and cooking delicious and spicy Mexican recipes.

Kristina Kieng

Client Care

Kristina always has a smile on her face and takes pride in taking excellent care of anyone who comes in contact with LKJ Financial. When you arrive at our office or call us on the phone, her main priority is to make you feel welcome, at home and comfortable.

Kristina is also instrumental in helping the office run on a day-to-day basis by assisting with incoming calls, scheduling meetings and managing advisor calendars, maintaining conference rooms and supplies, helping with mailings, notarizing documents and other important behind-the-scenes tasks. Prior to joining LKJ, Kristina was a Pre-K teacher for 15 years. While she loved her students, Kristina has the drive to learn how to take control of her finances to set up the future for her family, which inspired her to take on her role with LKJ Financial.

In her spare time, Kristina loves working on her small business where she personalizes everyday essentials and home décor. Her favorite season is fall and she loves to turn her house into Santa’s Workshop over the holidays. She is a fitness fanatic and if you don’t see her in the front of the office, she’s likely walking around trying to get her steps in for the day. Kristina also enjoys hanging out with her husband and young son and their two English bulldogs, traveling, watching movies and dancing to 90s music.

Ashley Gottlieb

Financial Paraplanner FPQP®

Ashley joined the LKJ team initially as financial planning intern and provides on-the-ground support to LKJ’s advisors and staff. Some of Ashley’s responsibilities include helping advisors with meeting notes, data entry, case discussions and financial plan development for clients and prospective clients; preparing for and staffing marketing events; and special projects as needed.

A New York native, Ashley moved with her family to Houston in 2013. She graduated from Lone Star College with an Associate of Arts in Business and is currently attending the University of St. Thomas pursuing the BBA/MSF (Master of Science in Finance) degree. Ashley is a Financial Paraplanner Qualified Professional FPQP® and was drawn to the world of financial planning after personally witnessing the impact that a well-laid financial plan could have had in the lives of those around her.

Ashley prioritizes health and fitness in her life by doing strength training, yoga and hiking. She embraces her Colombian heritage with love, especially in the kitchen where she thrives remaking the meals she grew up eating.

Lynne Karoll James

Founder

Lynne founded LKJ Financial and loved planning and helping individuals build tailored strategies to achieve their dreams. She began her career in the 1970’s focused on life insurance and estate planning, providing protection for individuals and families. From there, she broadened into financial planning, initially focusing on helping people who need to integrate government pensions like TRS into their retirement savings and income planning.

Lynne lived in Houston for over 45 years and had two grown daughters and a son. She enjoyed spoiling her grandchildren and traveling – particularly to Acapulco where she lived for a number of years after working as an actress and commercial model in Mexico City.

After being in the financial business for nearly 50 years, Lynne took pride in the fact that she had many clients that worked with her for decades. Lynne lost her battle against lung cancer in early 2023, but her spirit and her legacy lives on through LKJ Financial and the work we do with our clients.
